Heine’s Pizza Ride 2026

For the past 35 years, the Heine Ride was one of the traditions closest to Doug Caldwell’s heart. What started as a bike ride became something so much bigger because of Doug. It became a reason for friends and family to come together, catch up, laugh, share a few miles, enjoy a beer, eat some pizza, and make memories along the way.

Doug, or “Dougie Fresh” as so many knew and loved him, had a special way of bringing people together. Year after year, he kept this ride going, welcoming familiar faces and new riders alike. For Doug, it was never about how fast you rode or even really about the bike. It was about the people.

This year, we ride in Doug’s honor.

We’ll follow the tradition he loved, share stories, raise a glass, and finish with pizza, just as he would have wanted. Whether you rode alongside Doug for decades, knew and loved him, or simply want to be part of carrying on something that meant so much to him, you are welcome.

Every mile we ride is a chance to celebrate Doug, the friendships he created, and a tradition we hope will continue for many years to come.
