HEINE'S 2023

Greetings fellow Heine Bike Riders!! First of all, a big "Thank You!!" goes out to all of you
riders who have made the past few Heine Rides a huge success. Since moving the ride to September,
rider numbers have been up and we haven't had to deal with cold weather. On a few of the May rides,
we even had to deal with snow. This year's ride will be Saturday, September 16 starting at 1:30 PM.
We will leave from Cercis Brewing Company (140 N. Dickason Blvd.) in Columbus and finish 22 miles
later at Heine's in Minnesota Junction.
Detailed route maps/cue sheets will be available at the start of the ride or they can be down
loaded from the website (special thanks to Jim Terra)...www.heineride.com Or for those of you with
Strava or GPS, you will find the route at https·//ridewithgps com/routes/35600392.

There will be two (2) scheduled stops on the ride.

Stop 1 will be at Ooga Brewing Company (301 S. Spring Street) in Beaver Dam. We again happen
to be stopping at Ooga as they celebrate Oktoberfest complete with a live polka band. Stop 2 will
be at the Prairie Tavern in Rolling Prairie. For those non-riders, you are most welcome to join us
in the post-ride festivities at Heine's at about 5:00 PM.
As in the past, a T-shirt will again be offered this year. This year's shirt is in the final stages
of design and when finished can be viewed on the website under "Logos". Now, you too can have the
bold look of Heine's with a tank($15), short($15), or long($17) sleeve shirt (XXL+$2). Shirts must
be ordered and paid for by September 1. Please return this form along with the appropriate money to
Doug Caldwell 605 Hibbard Street Columbus, WI 53925. You can also pay me via Zelle. Please return
this form even if you don't want a shirt so a guest count can be given as a courtesy to Heine's.
Registration can be done online or this form can be printed out and mailed to Doug. If you are
scanning and emailing, Doug's email address is dougcaldwell54@gmail.com Remember, that there is no
cost for the ride itself. That makes this ride priceless!
We highly suggest the use of helmets, proper riding etiquette (riding single file on the right when
traffic is present), sun screen, and don't forget to bring a water bottle.
Heine Ride West organizer, Conrad Freeman, will again be riding on this year's Wisconsin ride. He
will be available to answer your questions on dates, times, and routes for this Fall's HRW in the
Rocky Mountain State.
The Heine Ride has provided and will continue to provide a great way to get out of the house and
offer you unlimited fun, exercise, and great social interaction. The Heine Ride: It's not about the
bike, it's about the pizza. Remember, it's not a race. If you finish, you win!!
