HEINE’S 2012
If you were asked to name a long-running
reality show, you might answer “Survivor” or “Idol”.
Did you know that the Heine Ride reality show has been
running (or rather cycling) for 22 years?
That’s right.
The 22nd Annual Ride for
Your Heine’s will be Saturday, May 12, starting at 2:00 P.M.
We will be leaving from Julie’s Java House (across the
railroad tracks from the Amtrak depot) in Columbus and ending 23
miles later at Heine’s in Minnesota Junction.
Detailed route maps/cue sheets will be available at the start
of the ride or can be downloaded from the website www.heineride.com
. There are two (2)
scheduled stops on the ride; one in Beaver Dam and one in Rolling
Prairie. If you weren’t
born to bike but born to eat pizza, we’ve got you covered.
You are most welcome to join us in the post ride festivities
starting around 5:00 P.M.
As in the past, a T-shirt will again be
offered this year. Now,
you too can sport the bold look of Heine’s with a tank ($13), short
($13), or long-sleeved ($16) shirt (XXL+$2).
This year’s shirt has been designed and promises not to
disappoint. It will be
available for viewing shortly on the website under “Logos”.
Of course, the “Heine Man” will ride the back of any shirt
chosen. You can also
get the “Heine Man” embroidered on your very own hat ($16).
Shirts and hats must be ordered and paid for by April 30.
Please send appropriate money to Doug Caldwell, P.O. Box 368,
Columbus, WI
53925. Sorry, no Pay
Pal. Please respond
even if you are not ordering apparel so a guest count can be given
as a courtesy to Heine’s.
Registration can be done online or the form can be printed
and mailed to Doug.
We highly suggest the use of helmets, proper
riding etiquette (riding single file on the right when cars are
present), sun screen, and don’t forget to bring a water bottle.
Please keep in mind that this is an adult ride.
Also, try and arrange your own transportation back to
Columbus.
Remember, it’s not about the bike.
It’s about the pizza.
So come and take part in the 22 year old reality show that’s
known as the Heine Ride.
THE HEINE RIDE; Pizza for the passionate pedaler.
Power to the pedalers.
Power to the pedalers ride on.
